Out of the Blue Chorus is bringing a little peace, power, and harmony to the stage with Let It Be - a spring concert inspired by the timeless message of the Beatles and the spirit of our times.

This uplifting program features pop, rock, folk, and gospel music that speaks to hope, resilience, and letting go. You’ll hear songs by Billy Joel, Pink, Paul Simon, an ABBA medley, and a special Beatles medley centered around ‘Let It Be’.

Whether you're coming to reflect, unwind, or simply enjoy the music, we look forward to sharing this evening of song with you.

We’re also thrilled to welcome two fantastic guest choirs - Act 3 from the Calgary Youth Singers and Blend Vocal Association - adding even more heart and community spirit to the night.


Act 3 – Calgary Youth Singers

Act 3 is the adult ensemble of Calgary Youth Singers, welcoming passionate singers aged 30 and up. They perform a mix of contemporary, pop, Broadway, and choral music with energy and professionalism. Meeting weekly, Act 3 members develop vocal skills, stage presence, and ensemble harmony in a supportive environment. The group performs regularly at CYS concerts and community events across Calgary, sharing their love of music and connection through song. Act 3 embodies the spirit of lifelong musical engagement, proving it’s never too late to sing, shine, and be part of a vibrant community.

Blend Vocal Association

Blend Vocal Association is a Calgary-based women’s vocal ensemble founded in 2011. They perform a diverse mix of folk, jazz, pop, rock, and contemporary music, often featuring original compositions by members. Their signature style includes rich three- and four-part harmonies, sometimes supported by a small band or solo piano and guitar. Blend aims to engage a wide range of audiences by delivering layered and entertaining musical experiences. The group presents two major concerts annually and regularly participates in community events throughout Calgary, fostering a vibrant connection with local music lovers.

Join us for 'OOTB Chorus & Friends: A Celebration of Song'’ an inspiring evening of music featuring performances from ‘Spirit Vocal Ensemble’ and ‘Blend Vocal Association. Together, we’ll explore a rich tapestry of pop, rock, and folk music, showcasing the power of song to connect, inspire, and uplift.

As we enter the holiday season, this unique event will also feature a sprinkling of festive cheer—perfect for getting you in the season's spirit. From beautiful harmonies to memorable melodies and meaningful lyrics, each choir will bring their unique style to the stage for performances that promise to be engaging and energizing!

Concerts

Sharing music with others is at the heart of the OOTB Chorus.
We believe in the transformative power of music to connect, inspire, and bring people together, and our performances are a way for us to share this joy with you, our audience. We aim to create moments of connection and joy, bridging gaps and building a sense of community through the universal language of music.

OOTB performs two major concerts (Fall and Spring) and sings at various community concerts and fundraising events during the choir season. We always look for ways to give back to the musical communities that inspire us!
