Member Resources
As a member of OOTB Chorus, you have access to sheet music and practice audio. These are provided as supplemental learning tools. While there’s no requirement to read music or have prior experience, our members learn to interact with sheet music in addition to learning by ‘ear’ and repetition.
If you have musical experience or read music, fantastic! You will find our arrangements fun and also challenging.
Weekly Rehearsals
OOTB Chorus meets Tuesday evenings 7-9 pm at St. Thomas United Church in North Calgary for two hours of fun and energetic singing.
Our rehearsals cover foundational vocal technique in the songs we sing. We believe learning about our voices and how they work, increases the enjoyment of singing and allows members to sing in a healthy, sustainable way. We also incorporate basic elements of breathing and sound production to help give our members a foundation to build and grow their singing experience.
Sing with Friends
When you join us, director Tyler will help guide you to one of the three sections that is right for you and your voice— the upper, middle, or lower part.

Songs and Music
Our songs are arranged by director Tyler Fitzgerald as well as other musicians and arrangers who work with OOTB Chorus to create unique arrangements of the songs we sing.

Gettin’ Social
Community and connection are highly valued in OOTB Chorus. Singing is the shared passion that keeps us all coming every week in anticipation of what we can accomplish. Community is the glue that holds it all together.
We love to laugh and have a good time together as music lovers and organize socials during the choir year. If you have any ideas for community outreach, please reach out to our team!
