A Message from Your Artistic Director
Happy New Year Everyone!
Congratulations to you all for what was an awesome concert in December. It was a successful night on so many levels for our choir. Thank you again for your hard work and commitment to making it a real success for OOTB!
I’m looking forward to learning & singing some great new songs together in 2024.
-Tyler Fitzgerald
January 9th Rehearsal
We will take a bit longer of a break than normal to give everyone a chance to say hello and welcome each other back.
OOTB will provide some Bublé's and a few trays of cookies.
If you have a favourite snack you'd like to bring and share, please do so!
Songs & Music
We will be singing a couple of our ‘carry over’ songs from the Fall as well as start learning a new song 'Hallelujah’ by Leonard Cohen.
All music can be found in the Members Area.
Registration
We are moving away from the choir season being broken down into three of ‘sessions’ or ‘semesters’ and toward a full choir season taking registration payments monthly or annually.
We will take our scheduled breaks during the year, but now conceive of the choir year as one season.
Note: If you are currently registered for a monthly or annual subscription, you DO NOT need to re-register.
Issues Registering?
We have received a few questions from some members regarding issues with their registration. We have provided a Q & A to help guide you through the process.
Q: I am receiving a message that says “email already used” when I try to create a new account.
A: If you receive this message, it means there is an account already associated with your email address. Unfortunately, at check out there is not a “Forgot Password” option. This is a limitation of our website provider. You will need to go to the OOTB website menu and select “Login." button. Here you will find a “Forgot Password” to reset your password and gain access to your account. Once you have gained access, you can follow the registration process as normal. See screen shots as visual aids.
We are working with our website provider to add this option during check out and apologize for the confusion and inconveniences. Change always comes with some challenges. Thank you for your patience!
Please reach out to info@ootbchorus.ca if you are having any issues with the registration process and we will be happy to help.
NEW SONG
Hallelujah
By, Leonard Cohen
Practice audio for the song will be available soon.
In the meantime, here’s a good recording of the song on You Tube.
Printing New Song
As this is a Roger Emerson arrangement, the music only exists in full score. Meaning, it includes the piano part which makes the printing a bit longer. Since this isn’t the case with most songs arranged by me (I leave the piano part out to make printing lighter) you have two printing options:
Option 1: Print off your own music of ‘Hallelujah’ from the Members Area and bring to rehearsal.
Option 2: Pick up a numbered copy of the music at the check-in desk from Ashley and Christine. You will return it at the end of the season.
